Becoming An agent/artist Member
Sections 1-7 of agent/artist has given, you the artist, a lot of great information on how to further your career. Basically, booking shows will advance your career. Yet, how exactly can agent/artist assist in getting you more shows?
agent/artist has a “machine” that we can plug your act into. This is a proven way to sell your act to qualified buyers in categorized markets.
agent/artist does this through direct mail, email, website, search engines, YouTube, and social media sites.
Can you do this yourself?
Sure you can. However, chances are you do not have the time, the know how or the money to reach the markets you want and the equipment and staff to do this.
For example, for a single act to perform a direct mail campaign to 2000 qualified buyers, 12 times a year will cost you no less than $15,000.00. (fifteen thousand! Our fee is much, MUCH lower) Then you have add in the cost of email & social media campaigns.
The Business That Advertises More Gets The Most Business
Having talent and a desire will not get you bookings. Having a business sense and knowing how to sell will get you bookings.
agent/artist has learned through the years that artists (as well as agents) do not know how to sell or advertise.
There is a saying for the brick and mortar stores:
Location, location, location.
The saying for an artist is:
Advertise, advertise, advertise.
The problem is that 98% of artists (and agents) do not have the funds to advertise to the point where the ROI far exceeds the investment.
agent/artist has a solution for this.
The Solution To Getting More Bookings
agent/artist is a marketing company specifically designed to assist those new to the show business and those established in show business to get quality bookings.
agent/artist believes a quality booking starts at $1500 per gig. (fifteen hundred)
agent/artist actively advertises acts. Unlike Gig Masters or Party Pop websites that cater to low paying private parties,
agent/artist advertises talent to quality venues who pay big bucks for quality acts.
agent/artist has learned that the effort to sell a $200 act is the exact same effort to sell a $6000 act. Which would you rather sell? Yeah, we thought so!

FAQ
How do I know Simplified Entertainment will email, social media or direct mail my information?
Each artist and agent that is a member of Simplified Entertainment will be on each list and will receive any item mailed or email or posted on social media.
Can I have specific information post on the social media?
Yes!
Simplified Entertainment expects the artist to provide tons of information about the act. The more information we have the easier it is to sell the act.
What happens if I sign with an agent and do not want to be advertised through agent/artist for the rest of my contract?
Simplified Entertainment can quickly remove the act from any electronic advertising. The act will still be advertised with the direct mail campaign until the contract ends. Any inquires from the direct mail campaign will be forwarded onto your new booking agent. No commissions would be collected if your agent books the show. There are no refunds of your membership of any kind.
I paid my yearly membership, then why does Simplified Entertainment take a 20% commission on booking my show?
Simplified Entertainment is a show business agent that sells acts nonexclusive. This means you can have other agents selling your act too. The moment you become a member of agent/artist, you have agent representation through Simplified Entertainment. If Simplified Entertainment sells you act you will have to pay Simplified Entertainment a 20% commission.
Simplified Entertainment does exhibit at entertainment buyer trade shows. If an act elects to be part of a trade show, there would be a fee paid to Simplified Entertainment. This would have nothing to do with agent/artist marketing.
Simplified Entertainment booked my show. How do I get paid?
There are two ways the artist can be paid from a gig booked by Simplified Entertainment.
The buyer cuts two checks. One to Simplified Entertainment consisting of the commission and buyer booking fee and second check in the artists name to be picked up at the show.
There are times that a buyer can only cut one check. In these cases, the check is cut to Simplified Entertainment and within 10 days of the check being deposited, the artist check is cut and mailed out. When working with government entities this is usually the case. Also, government entities and some buyers will take up to 30 days to pay for a gig. This means the artist may have to wait up to 60 days to be paid. This is rare, but does happen. Its part of doing business.
Simplified Entertainment Is Taking 20% From My Act And also Getting A Booking Fee From The Buyer?
Simplified Entertainment takes a standard non-negotiable 20% fee from the act when a show is sold. The buyer pays Simplified Entertainment a booking fee for the office expenses that the artist would normally pay. If the artist wants to pay the buyer booking fee, this can be arranged.
How do I know What Simplified Entertainment Sells My Act For?
The artist will supply a fee list for a single performance in every state. Simplified Entertainment will sell the artist at the list fee plus the buyer booking fee. The artist 20% comes out the artist list fee. The artist will be consulted from the time a buyer expresses interest in the act through winning or losing the booking. Simplified Entertainment does not book any performance with out a signed artist consent to book the show.

The Fee Of $5000 Seems Like A Lot Of Money. Why Should I Spend $5000 On My Act?
Here is a question for you:
Why should anyone else spend $5000 of their own money on your act?
Here are actual responses of the question we received in the past from prospective members:
Because you will make money off my act.
It is the agent’s responsibility to sell the act and therefore they pay for all advertising materials.
If you book me shows, then I will pay you back.
My act is so good it sells itself.
agent/artist are greedy b*****ds!
Here are our replies:
Because you will make money off my act.
agent/artist does not make money off any booking you receive through the
agent/artist advertising campaigns.
It is the agent’s responsibility to sell the act and therefore they pay for all advertising materials.
The artist always pays for the creation of promo materials and artist advertising.
If you book me shows, then I will pay you back.
agent/artist is not a bank.
agent/artist is a show business marketing firm. Banks are in the business of loaning money. Please visit a bank for money loans.
My act is so good it sells itself.
No, it isn’t. In fact there isn’t a product ever created that sells itself.
agent/artist are greedy b*****ds!

If You Are Not Willing To Invest In Your Act, Neither Is agent/artist
agent/artist only works with those who have the talent, the drive and the desire to book more shows. The ONLY way to do this is to advertise. And advertising costs money. Yet, we do know that the business that advertises the most gets the most business. Artist & Agents must learn to advertise and advertise consistently.
Here Is A Question For You:
McDonald’s is a well known brand. We all know the McDonald’s brand through advertising. Since each of us know the McDonald’s brand so well, why in the world does McDonald’s still advertise?
Answer: Because McDonald’s wants to be in the front of your mind. When you are out doing errand and become hungry, there are many choices. Your mind is always looking for the quickest route between point A and B. In this case, the decision of where to eat. Because of the heavy advertising McDonald’s does, McDonald’s is always in the front of your mind. When you become hungry and begin looking for a place to eat, you will tend to stop at McDonald’s before a different place.
Business' need to advertise to get business. In fact, when business is slow, a business must increase advertising!
You Are A New Artist And No One Knows Who You Are. How Are You Going To Book Shows?
To prove our point, I want you to try the following: (this is called a cold call)
Pick up the telephone and call a person that you think is a good prospect to purchase your show. Here are a few pointers to assist you in selling the show:
Introduce yourself
Tell them why you are calling
Ask if they would have any dates available to bring you in
At a certain point in the conversation they will ask for promo materials. Facebook & Instagram are not promo materials! Do not even think of sending them there. A website is a must with all your info.
The point
agent/artist is making is this:
Through
agent/artist advertising, that same person in the above scenario would already know your act BEFORE you call. In fact, after seeing your act through
agent/artist a minimum of 3 times, typically, the buyer assumes that they have seen your act more than 100 times! They will also associate your act with being successful, EVEN IF YOU NEVER BOOKED YOUR FIRST GIG!
With the power of
agent/artist marketing, a positive reputation of your act will prime any buyer to consider your act as well as taking your call.
Artists and agents must advertise.
The above information is worth $500 in a private consultation. You just got it for free!
I Heard That I Should Not Pressure A Buyer
agent/artist says the following: Forget about everything you know about business. It is wrong. (those with a BA in Business are to disregard the previous statement)
If you are a person with a business degree, then you agree with what
agent/artist is saying. You know that a business needs to advertise and advertise often. You also know that advertising is expensive.
Advertising Is Expensive. Those Are The Facts.
Advertising is expensive. It always has been, and it always will be. In fact, you want advertising to be expensive because it keeps the competition from cutting into your business. (another business lesson)
You just gasped! You just realized why you are not booking shows! The other artists do not want you cutting into their gigs! Yes, it is true. And those other artists are advertising! You cannot beat them. But you sure can join them!
Invest In Your Act
agent/artist says that any act who cannot invest $5000 into their act is not worth booking. Here is the proof: While reading this you are telling yourself that you are worth $5000 or more, yet, you are balking, double thinking and questioning the $5000 membership fee. YOU ARE NOT EVEN WILLING TO INVEST $5000 IN YOURSELF, then why should anyone book you? This is why we say an artist needs “drive”. It is this type of artist that get bookings.
Here is a question for you:
How many seminars or entertainment conventions have you been to in the past 3 years? How many bookings did you get from attending those seminars and conventions?
To attend one convention for 3 days is typically about $1500 with all costs to get there, attend and get back home. $1500 is on the low end. ($2500 is more like it!) Of that $1500, how many shows did you book? The answer is 98% of the time none. We know, we have attended more seminars and conventions than you could imagine. The ROI has NEVER even equaled the investment. NEVER! In fact, it has always resulted in losing money! (We are not a fan of conventions)
The agent/artist Membership Fee Is For Advertising Your Act!
Of all those other fees you pay to those other organizations, have any of them given you the possibility of booking $40K in one year? At
agent/artist we believe that once any act (working with us or not) should be booking at least $40K in the first year of business.
Plain and simple, the
agent/artist $5000 membership fee is for advertising. We take this huge mind-numbing task off your plate!
agent/artist is the only membership that is 100% for getting more bookings!
Here is the closing pitch of why you need to become a member of
agent/artist:
You want to book more shows. To book more shows you must advertise. The
agent/artist proven “advertising machine” will put your act in front of qualified buyers.
It is time to move your career forward.
